Our Philosophy

In-situ is based in the energetic metropolis of Hong Kong. Known for its iconic skyscrapers and fast-paced lifestyle, Hong Kong is a modern international city that is still deeply rooted in its Chinese cultural heritage. Its modern conveniences allow international visitors to explore Hong Kong using its premier public transit system, and English is widely understood.

As an influential art hub in the Asia Pacific region, Hong Kong hosts the Art Basel art fair, many prominent art galleries, and the M+ Museum. Residents will have access to a private studio within a supportive creative community and a robust communal woodshop. We regularly organize artist talks, open studios, introductions to local artists and art professionals, and keep residents updated with the latest gallery openings and cultural events.

POSTPONED: In-situ Studio Visit & Exhibition: Ana Teresa Vicente

NOTICE In light of the current virus pandemic, Ana Teresa Vicente's supporting funding body, Fundacao Oriente, through the guidelines of Portugal's ministry of foreign Affairs, has arranged for Ana to fly back to Lisbon on the next available flight. Due to her sudden departure, the scheduled studio visits will be cancelled and the exhibition tour will be postponed. Once Ana is back in Portugal she will continue to finish the projects she started at the residency and we will hopefully find a way for her to share the complete projects with our audience in an alternative way.
