NEIGHBORHOOD

In-situ is strategically located in To Kwa Wan, Kowloon. To Kwa Wan is a lively residential neighborhood with a few industrial buildings lining the waterfront. This offers residents ample studio space in which to work while being immediately surrounded by traditional aspects of daily local life. Many other industrial buildings with suitable space for art studios are located on the outskirts of the city and lack the charm of residential life. In To Kwa Wan there is also The Cattle Depot Artists Village, a revitalized art community with non-profit galleries, artist studios, and a performing arts theater is a mere 15-minute walk away. Hong Kong Island with the city’s central business district, commercial galleries, shopping, and nightlife is about 30 minutes away by bus.

EXPLORE HONG KONG

At In-situ, we want residents to explore all that Hong Kong has to offer and to be inspired by what they experience. Hong Kong is a perfect melting pot and the epitome of East meets West. Although Hong Kong is a densely-packed city with amazing skyscrapers and neon lights, you only need to go a few minutes outside of the city-center to be lost within lush forests and mountaintops. It is very easy to take public transportation directly to many trailheads. Being a coastal city, you can also go on a traditional red sail junk boat along the harbor or do a day trip and explore a fishing village on one of the many outlying islands. For more ideas, check out Time Out Hong Kong's "51 things to do in Hong Kong", or Hong Kong Tourism Board's "Neighborhood Guides."
